Tyrannosaurus Rex (RED)
The mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex, or T. Rex, is undoubtedly the star of our park. Known for its massive size and ferocious demeanour, this apex predator lived about 68 to 66 million years ago. Here are some cool facts about T. Rex:
- Height: 12 ft
- Lifespan: 28 - 30 years
- Diet: Carnivorous, eating other dinosaurs
Did you know that the T. Rex had the strongest bite force of any land animal that ever lived? This makes it one of the most fearsome predators in history. Keep an eye out for RED around the park! You’ll know he’s about when the sirens sound!
Triceratops
Another favourite among visitors is the Triceratops. With its three distinctive horns and large bony frill, this herbivorous dinosaur is both impressive and iconic. Here’s more about the Triceratops:
- Height: 9- 10 ft
- Lifespan: 25 - 30
- Diet: Herbivorous, mainly eating plants and shrubs
The Triceratops lived around 68 million years ago, during the late Cretaceous period. Its large frill and horns were likely used for defence against predators like the T. Rex.
Stegosaurus
The Stegosaurus, with its distinctive double row of kite-shaped plates along its back and spiked tail, is another highlight at our park. Here’s what you need to know about this fascinating dinosaur:
- Height: 9 - 13 ft
- Lifespan: 75 - 100
- Diet: Herbivorous, eating plants like ferns and cycads
Stegosaurus lived about 150 million years ago during the late Jurassic period.
Velociraptor
Don't miss the agile and cunning Velociraptor! Despite its relatively small size, this dinosaur was a formidable predator. Here are some facts about Velociraptor:
- Height: 1.6ft
- Lifespan: 15 - 20
- Diet: Carnivorous, hunting small animals
Velociraptors lived about 75 to 71 million years ago. They were likely covered in feathers, making them even more bird-like than typically depicted in films.
